Dear John:

As we draw to completion our building program of the new sanctuary, we are especially pleased with your role in this project.

I would like to extend the invitation to have you. and your craftsmen who worked on our building, worship with us on Sunday, April 19, 1998, at the 10:30 AM service. At this service of thanksgiving and appreciation, we would like to recognize you and the important part you played in our building program. There will also be a reception following the service.

We are truly grateful for your hard work and dedication which has in turn made this a beautiful edifice that gives tribute and praise to glory of God.

Please advise me if you can be present, as we would like to have a place reserved for you.

Sincerely,

Paul S. Frank
Pastor

Dear Johnny:

We had our first worship service in our new building yesterday and I wanted to tell you how pleased our members were with the finished product. We have received many compliments not only from our members but also from other Fairfield Glade residents.

I also want to commend you on your selection of personnel to work with us on this project.

Ron Gardner, your project manager has done a fine job handling the business end of the project. The selection of sub-contractors for the job has been excellent. I particularly enjoyed working with John "Whit" Whitaker the foreman for Phil Smith Electric Company, he was very helpful and cooperative.

We look forward to the completion of the parking lot as soon as we get some good weather.

I'm looking forward to seeing you on January 31st.

Sincerely,

Bill Ackendorf

Mr. Stites,

On behalf of the building committee at Heavenly Host Lutheran Church, I want to thank you for the excellent job your company did on our recently completed building expansion. The committee is indeed delighted with the work of J&S Construction.

The workmanship of your site crew and that of most of your subcontractors is commendable and has left HHLC with a building to be proud of. We are indeed thankful to have had the pleasure of working with J&S.

The efforts of the entire J&S team involved in this project are sincerely appreciated. The team members on site, Mike, Joe, Marty and George, were all very good to work with, were cordial to the church and school staff, worked diligently on the overall project and generally kept the atmosphere upbeat. The team member behind the scenes, Paige, kept the paperwork flowing and was very helpful throughout the project. Your project manager, Ron, was cooperative and willing to process any change order request we ran into.

Overall, the project went well and as a result the overall timeline was achieved. However, there was an area where HHLC felt improvements could be made. The lead times given were very short when decisions were needed from the building committee (color selections or other such inputs). None of these short decision lead times caused a lapse in the overall timeline. They did cause extra work for all parties involved; from your sight crew, to the architect, to the HHLC building committee, to your project manager. Scheduling is an area where we expected brilliance from a company that prides themselves in meeting the project timeline and budget.

Again, thank you for the efforts your company has put forth as a participant in this building project. I believe it is safe to say that not only has a church been built, but the foundation for a relationship has also been built.

Sincerely,

Travis Giffey
HHLC Owners Representative

Mr. Stites,

On behalf of the building committee at Heavenly Host Lutheran Church, I want to thank you for your generosity.

A couple weeks back your sight foreman, Mike Sakkinen, spent several hours of his own time recreating a raised altar in our worship area. After removing our old raised altar area during the demolition process, in preparation for adding the new addition, he must have realized our worship area had lost some of its church atmosphere. So in an effort to ease the amount of change our congregation would experience during the construction of our new addition, Mike went about recreating the raised altar after he had the work zone contained with a dust barrier.

It is our understanding that J&S, per your authorization, donated the materials to Mike for this after-hours project. I, along with the entire building committee, sincerely appreciate your contribution and your efforts to make this entire construction project seem as transparent as possible to our congregation. Your efforts off-site and Mike's efforts on-site are commendable and have definitely been noticed.

Thank you,

Travis Giffey,
HHLC Owners Representative
