Benjamin Clemens

Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Ben Clemens has been in the construction industry since 1972. Ben started working as a laborer in the field in 1972, then went to carpentry apprentice school in an effort to gain more skills and worked as a carpenter until 1979. Ben also had a desire to learn the other side of construction, and completed vocational school for drafting in 1979. He then began working for architectural firms as a draftsman and specification writer on commercial work.

In 1995, Ben was offered a position with Hedrick Brothers Construction Co., Inc. as an Estimating Assistant. He later managed some design/build projects, which poised him to move into a Project Manager role. After gaining experience in project management, Ben was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Pre-construction Services and now oversees the company’s Commercial Division and Operations. With an overall responsibility for municipal and commercial projects, Ben allows the projects to proceed smoothly, safely, on schedule and within the established budget.

Ben’s diversified project portfolio includes projects in the healthcare, municipal, commercial, sustainable, historic restoration, industrial, educational, residential and worship fields. In his 15-year tenure with Hedrick Brothers Construction, his projects total more than $60 million and more than 679,000 square feet.
